“Alma andina, esprit français: jewellery is worn as a sign, inherited from a myth and attuned to a style.”

Portrait de Jonathan Realpe, contributeur style et culture de Mayuri Paris
Background

A graduate of the Institut Français de la Mode, a personal shopper and stylist at Galeries Lafayette, Jonathan knows style from the inside: fashion, photography, art direction, the precise gesture that transforms a silhouette. He has also worked in fine jewellery, which shapes the way he looks at adornment.

Founder of Qiru, his design brand in Ecuador (“Andean soul, French spirit”), he brings the standards of French luxury into dialogue with his South American heritage. For Mayuri, he writes about style and how jewellery is worn, and draws on the myths of South America for a singular reading of adornment, where stone and gold already spoke of power, the sacred and transformation.
